Our School

St Lawrence of Brindisi is the newest Catholic Primary School in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, having opened in January 2022. We are the second Catholic primary school in the parish of St Anthony of Padua, Melton South and service one of the fastest growing suburban areas in Australia, with children from the Weir Views, Strathtulloh, Cobblebank, Thornhill Park, Fieldstone, Eynesbury, Pawan, Mount Cottrell and Mount Atkinson.

Stage One of our Master Plan opened with a main learning building developed around a flexible learning environment. This building has a large collaborative learning space, surrounded by eight classrooms and a temporary administration area. Stage One also includes a multi-purpose learning area intended for specialist learning in STEM, Science or Visual Arts, as well as a covered outdoor classroom, a full-size oval, synthetic soccer/basketball court and a playground.

Stage Two of our Master Plan is due for completion by the end of 2022, with the development of another building similar in design to Stage One. This contains another nine classrooms around a central collaborative area. Our flexible learning design enables our children to learn in acoustically designed classrooms, while providing opportunities for our students to engage in a variety of educational experiences in the large central collaborative learning area.

From the outset, St Lawrence of Brindisi has placed a key focus on building an active engagement with our families. Our school is a place of welcome and nurture, where our culture is directly guided by our vision, our motto and our three foundational pillars: a community called to learn, a community called to serve, a community called to love.
