School Fees & Charges
2026 School fees
The Commonwealth Government requires that there is a local contribution from private schools to cover some of the financial costs of the school
Capital Levy
MACS mandated payment. This supports the school with the costs for the development of our Master Plan.
Curriculum Levy
Covers the cost of the stationery items for each child, (e.g. books, glue, pencils etc
Excursion Levy
Covers the cost of excursions and incursions (noting that bus hire is a significant cost at the moment). This should provide each Learning Community with one excursion and one incursion a year.
Technology Levy
Provides financial support to the school in the purchase of new IT equipment and maintenance for the devices used by the students.
All Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne charge fees to cover some of our expenses. St Lawrence of Brindisi has some of the lowest fees of any Catholic school in the diocese.
Parents or guardians with a Health Care card can claim a rebate on their fees. If the payment of school fees becomes an issue, this should be discussed with the Principal. This will be kept in the strictest confidence.
Compass
St Lawrence of Brindisi uses Compass as one of the primary ways we communicate with parents.
This is a secured platform which allows the school to have immediate access to a student’s important medical information, permission to attend excursions and to notify parents of important notifications regarding the operations of the school.
Seesaw
Seesaw is a platform for student engagement.
Our teachers empower our children to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students, ‘show what they know’ using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. Child/childrens work is shared with families so they can engage with the everyday learning of their child. With the Seesaw Family App parents and guardians can stay connected and be part of the learning experience.
Volunteers
We actively encourage parents and guardians to volunteer in our school.
All parents and guardians seeking to volunteer are required to have a Working with Children Check and complete the schools Code of Conduct.
